LAMBS Sight and Sound Birdwatch

The countryside around Wineham and Twineham is an important wildlife habitat which supports many endangered or declining species of birds.
During the next two months LAMBS is holding a ‘Sight and Sound’ Birdwatch to collect valuable data on the species living here.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!

If you live or walk in this area then please help us to record as many birds as possible.
All you need to do is download the forms below and get bird watching!

The Birdwatch will run throughout April and May but it doesn’t matter if you can’t take part for the entire time – any records you can make, even if it is just for a few weeks, will be helpful.

If you are listening out for the Nightingales or Barn Owls and are not sure about what you can hear then you will find recordings of both birds here or on YouTube.

You will find some useful suggestions from experienced birdwatcher, Val Bentley here.

We need as many people as possible to take part in the survey to ensure we cover the whole area so please encourage your family, friends and neighbours to take part too!

Our Birdwatch is being co-ordinated by Lucy Sheridan and Jane Watson so please contact them if you have any problems: lucysheridan1@gmail.com or janiejey@yahoo.co.uk

Completed forms should be sent to Lucy at the email address above or delivered to her at:
Nightingales, Bob Lane, Twineham.
